Privacy Policy

Effective / last updated: October 12, 2026
This policy describes current and launch-intended data practices for VALOREM. It should be reviewed whenever analytics, advertising, new AI/search providers, or new account features are added.

1. Who We Are

VALOREM is a product operated by SEB Ventures, Inc., a Tennessee corporation. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use VALOREM, https://usevalorem.com, and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account and contact information, such as name, email address, and authentication information.
  • Automotive-part, vehicle, fitment, condition, quantity, price, listing URL, and related information you submit.
  • Photos, screenshots, descriptions, and other content you upload.
  • Support messages, feedback, surveys, and communications.
  • Subscription and billing-status information. Payment-card details are processed by payment processors such as Stripe; we generally do not receive or store your complete card number or card security code.

Information collected automatically

  • Device, browser, IP address, log, session, security, and diagnostic information.
  • Usage information such as analyses, Market Refreshes, feature interactions, plan entitlements, timing, errors, and allowance events.
  • Internal provider-usage and cost telemetry used to operate and improve the Services.

Information from third parties

  • Payment and subscription status from payment processors.
  • Market, listing, search, and source information used to perform requested valuation research.
  • Security, authentication, infrastructure, and service-delivery information from service providers.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, authenticate, and secure VALOREM.
  • Identify parts, conduct requested research, generate valuation outputs, and maintain history.
  • Manage plans, allowances, subscriptions, billing status, fraud prevention, and customer support.
  • Diagnose errors, measure performance, prevent abuse, and improve product reliability and user experience.
  • Communicate service, security, billing, and policy updates.
  • Comply with law, enforce agreements, establish or defend legal claims, and protect users, SEB, and others.
  • Create aggregated or de-identified information that is not reasonably linkable to an individual.

4. Automated Systems and AI Providers

VALOREM may use automated systems, AI/model providers, search providers, and other processors to help interpret user inputs, research market evidence, classify information, and generate outputs. Information submitted to a workflow may be sent to service providers as reasonably necessary to perform the requested service.

We seek to limit submitted information to what is reasonably necessary for the task. Do not upload sensitive personal information that is unnecessary to an automotive valuation.

5. How We Share Information

We may disclose information to:

  • Cloud infrastructure, hosting, DNS, email, security, and storage providers.
  • Payment processors and fraud-prevention providers.
  • AI/model, search, research, and technical service providers used to perform requested functions.
  • Analytics, diagnostics, and support providers if and when enabled.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, lenders, or potential transaction counterparties subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud or security incidents, or enforce agreements.
  • A successor or buyer in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of the business or assets.

We do not currently sell personal information for money or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide legally required choices before using information in that manner.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

VALOREM may use cookies, local storage, session identifiers, or similar technologies that are reasonably necessary for authentication, security, preferences, and service functionality. Optional first-party browser measurement is available only with your consent and while service collection is enabled. It records a random visit identifier, a source category, and visit or registration-start timestamps. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track prevent this browser measurement. With separate signup consent, the visit identifier and source may be linked to your account. You can decline without losing access to VALOREM.

Analytics choices and server records

When analytics are enabled, server-side signup, successful valuation and checkout-start events record account identifiers and timestamps independently of browser consent. These records help us understand product use. Declining browser measurement does not stop these server events or the account, valuation, security and billing records needed to operate the service. The browser script does not send emails, passwords, listing text or valuation content.

Use “Decline / withdraw” under Optional website measurement to stop browser collection, delete observations for the current visit identifier, and remove its account attribution. Offline deletion requests remain pending and retry on your next visit. Repeat the choice on each browser and website origin you use. For verified deletion of account-linked analytics and suppression of future server analytics, email support@usevalorem.com with “Privacy Request.” Essential account and billing records have separate retention.

See Analytics privacy and deletion for the detailed collection and withdrawal behavior.

7. Retention

Analytics event rows are retained for 90 days and cleaned at startup and hourly while the service runs. An offline service may retain expired rows until it runs again. Random withdrawal suppression tokens are retained for up to 90 days; minimal account suppression identifiers remain while suppression is needed. Browser choices persist locally, while visit identifiers last for the browser session. Backups and infrastructure logs follow their separate retention policies; active-database deletion does not immediately purge backups. Verified deletion and suppression requests must be reapplied before collection resumes after a backup restore.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain accounts and history, support security and fraud prevention, satisfy contractual and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Subscription tier limits on visible history do not necessarily mean older stored records are deleted.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, anonymize, or de-identify it, subject to legal, security, backup, accounting, and dispute-retention requirements.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your credentials and promptly reporting suspected account compromise.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of certain personal information, and to opt out of certain sale, targeted-advertising, or profiling activities.

To submit a privacy request, email support@usevalorem.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity. If applicable law provides an appeal right after we deny a request, reply to the denial with “Privacy Appeal.”

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

10. Tennessee Residents

The Tennessee Information Protection Act (“TIPA”) grants qualifying Tennessee consumers rights that can include access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-outs relating to targeted advertising, sale of personal information, and certain profiling. TIPA applies to businesses that meet statutory thresholds. Even where a particular statutory requirement does not apply to SEB because of business size or processing thresholds, we may voluntarily honor similar verified requests when reasonably feasible.

11. Children

VALOREM is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly offer accounts or paid subscriptions to children. If we learn that personal information from a child was collected in a manner requiring deletion or parental consent, we will take appropriate action.

12. International Users

VALOREM is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.

13. Third-Party Links

The Services may link to third-party marketplaces, sellers, sources, or websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Services, providers, law, or data practices. Material changes will be communicated through the Services, website, email, or another appropriate method as required by law.
